Our home: One corner at a time.

Our hallway stayed plain and open for the longest time. Eventually I started purchasing items one by one until I had enough to make this corner look presentable.
Neat way to hide our ugly air return vent. Would also be pretty with some lights too.

Organizing my jewelry has helped so much. I love that my necklaces don't get tangled anymore. Plus I get to take inventory on a regular basis to see what I don't have ;o)

DIY Pantry

I could have kicked myself in the behind for not doing a before and after picture o this one. This was an old china cabinet that was given to me when I got married. I pray painted it white and stapled fabric over the windows to conceal the food. The two bottom drawers were loose, so I removed them and placed boards in the place of them for shoe storage. I love this piece!
You could also switch out the fabric as you styled changed and switch out shoes for a couple of baskets. the possibilities are endless.

DIY Chalkboard ideas

I love to mess around with items i already have at home. I don't have time to run around town with two toddlers around my ankles, so when the boys where napping one day, a wild hair struck. I love the idea of chalk board paint*why didnt i think if that*. I started grabbing items I knew where going in the yard sale pile, and in no time, I had some cool pieces...check it out.

This is an old picture that I didn't want anymore. I spray painted the frame black and then of course used to chalkboard paint on the canvas. This now hangs over my youngest sons bed.

This next one was a picture of a flower that easily could have been dated back to 1992. I spray painted the frame silver and used chalkboard paint on the canvas. Next time i will be sure to do before and after pictures*hey, I'm learning*.

This one is one of my favorites. Same instructions as the projects before and hung over my kitchen window over my sink.
